There are many guidelines for how to play – some more complicated and geared towards the veteran players, and some are just a few simple ground rules meant for the novice player. We went for the latter, and compiled a list of some of the most basic things a bingo player should know before heading out to play.
1.Know the game schedule. It's always good to be aware of what is being played where and when. That way, you will know how to distribute your time in a way that will allow you to play your favorite types of games.
2.Make a budget. Having a budget is always a good idea when your playing on money. Once you have budget set in place, you will never exceed it and you will have a good sense of how much your spending, and when you need to stop playing.
3.Have your equipment ready. Make sure that you have a set of you markers and pens, and in good stock. It's never fun to run empty in the middle of a game.
4.Manage your temper. If you're on a losing streak and can't seem to get out of it, stay in control. Losing control is a good indicator that maybe you should take a break from playing and possibly seek some professional help if it is becoming a regular occurrence.
5.Pay attention! Make sure your paying attention to the numbers that are being called, as it would be a shame to lose a game or split the prize just because your mind was running off into some unrelated thoughts.
6.Don't buy too many cards. Make sure you don't push yourself too much and buy too many cards. Keeping an eye on all of them can be pretty hard and it isn't advised if your just a beginner player.
Remember, these are just a few basic guidelines, and are by no means a sure-fire way to instant success! Use these tips to manage yourself as you begin playing and once you've become skilled at the game, they'd be second nature to you. |
